           ARULMIGU ADHIPARASAKTHI SIDDHAR PEETAM is situated at Melmaruvathur, 92 km from Chennai. His Holiness Bangaru Adigalar is the living incarnation of Goddess Adhiparasakthi. To overcome the problems of the depressed and oppressed, the Mother wants each of Her devotee to help the oppressed and the underprivileged.

            The first step in this direction was the formation of the Adhiparasakthi Charitable, Medical, Educational and Cultural Trust. The Trust was created in 1978 with the prime objective to spread spirituality and render social and community services irrespective of caste, creed, community and religion.

Adhiparasakthi Educational Institutions

        The Trust runs Adhiparasakthi Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, Adhiparasakthi Medical College and Research Institute, Adhiparasakthi Polytechnic College, Adhiparasakthi Engineering College, Para-medical Colleges for Nursing, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy, and Adhiparasakthi Dental College & Research Institute at Melmaruvathur. Adhiparasakthi College of Arts and Science, Adhiparasakthi Agricultural and Horticultural College, Adhiparasakthi College of Engineering, Adhiparasakthi Teachers Training Institute, Adhiparasakthi Institute of Agriculture and Adhiparasakthi College of Education are run by the Trust at G.B. Nagar, Kalavai.

Adhiparasakthi Institute of Science, Agriculture and Technology (APISAT) founded by the Trust is unique in that it is totally committed to quality, innovation, dynamism and social relevance. Study, Spirituality and Service are its MOTTO. Inculcation of character and virtues, besides academic training are its hallmark. Duty, Dignity and Discipline are its watchwords. It is keen that its students should shine as model citizens and men of eminence and excellence in our society.

Growth of Institution

        Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, the first self financing Agricultural College in Tamil Nadu, was established at G. B. Nagar, Kalavai, Vellore district in the year 1999 and affiliatedto Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) Coimbatore. Initially APAC was started with B.Sc (Agri.) programmewith an intake of 35 students. Later it was increased to 70 and in the year 2008 -2009 it was increased to 120.

        In the academic year 2003-2004, B.Sc (Horti.) programme was initiated with a strength of 30 students. Later on in the year 2010 -2011 the strength was increased to 50 and the current intake is 60 students. During the academic year 2008-09, Adhiparasakthi Institute of Agriculture was started to train the students for Diploma in agriculture with an intake strength of 50 and further increased to 70.

        From the academic year 2012-2013 two new P.G. Courses namely M.Sc., (Horti) in Vegetable Science and M.Sc., (Agri) in Plant pathology were started with an intake of 4 students in each course..
